Yung6ix Shares New Single “Calican” – LISTEN

Highly talented Nigerian rapper Yung6ix has released a new single entitled “Calican“.

The record was produced by talented beatmaker, Artsuji.

The word Calican means an African who lives in California, Cali comes from the first four letters “California” and the “Can” comes from the last 3 letters in “African.”

The terminology ”Calican” inspired the title of the song.

“The record itself was inspired by recent moments and experiences in my life, from the Zombies dancing while I play Call Of Duty Black ops, dealing with trolls on social media and watching others trying to jump on the trapfro wave.” expresses Yung6ix.

Artsuji and Yung6ix created this record in a moment, the energy was raw and it was real.

The record ended up with 2 of the four verses Yung6ix laid on it.

This one is for the real Yung6ix fans, the (JD’s) and it is the second release from the forthcoming “L & P” project. Listen up!

Naija Ninja and EMPIRE release ‘Reality CHQ (Cheque)’ music video by Veteran Nigerian singer, songwriter and record executive, Olarenwaju Fasasi, known as Sound Sultan.

‘Reality CHQ (Cheque),’ is off the 5-tracks Sound Sultan’s posthumous EP which feaures legend 2baba, as well as other contemporary artists, Bella Shmurda and Zlatan, Reality CHQ is a much-needed reminder of the value of life, as well as the right perspectives one must have in enjoying it to the fullest.

“So as you dey see my life so, I dey live my life no competition/ Follow you make I carry you go reality/ Take a break from the internet and its vanity/ When I see you looking at another man’s life saying oh my God I wish that was mine/ I go look you up and down make you know that’s out of line,” Sultan’s euphonious voice booms in the album’s third song titled, Reality CHQ.

Up until his latest studio album titled 8th Wondah, Sound Sultan was a master satirist, who painted socio-conscious and introspective narratives with his infectious melodies. Reality CHQ is a fine extension of the Naija Ninjas legacy.

Timaya Reintroduces Groovy Sanko Vibes In ‘Sweet Us’ (Watch)

Timaya, a respected Nigerian dancehall musician, has released another explosive track titled ‘Sweet Us,’ along with a themed video.

Timaya is known for creating trending songs his fans can always relate to and flow to. In the new track, ‘Sweet Us,’ the energetic musician attempted to recreate his 2014 blockbuster smash song, ‘Sanko.’

‘Sweet Us,’ a dancehall groove, includes beats similar to ‘Sanko,’ but at a slower tempo. The video for ‘Sweet Us’ also brought back the bouncy Timaya we remember from the 2010s.

Timaya goes deep with the new single like he used to do during his early days in the music industry. Despite the mockery lyrics, he shouted out to God, the Almighty, for his many blessings.

Timaya joined forces with creatively insane video director TG Omori to create the appropriate visuals for ‘Sweet Us.’
