Police Arrest 5 Men For Stealing Transformers In Niger State

The Niger State Police Command has affected the capture of five people over spoiling and stealing of power transformers in the state.

Marching the suspects in Minna, the state capital, Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Wasiu Abiodun said the suspects were captured last week Tuesday.

He clarified that the suspects were captured at Lapai-Gwari region along Building materials market street, Minna by the Chanchaga Division watch group during a normal watch of the space.

As indicated by him, they schemed among themselves, vandalized two electric transformers nearby, and trucked away a portion of the electric links.

The suspects incorporate Hussaini Adamu 23yrs, Mustapha Umar 17yrs, Mande Magaji 17yrs, Suleiman Zubairu 16yrs, Salisu Usman (collector) 25yrs, all male of Kasuwan-Gwari, Minna.
