The Nigerian Government has revealed that Twitter was not banned in the country.

Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information and Culture, demanded that Twitter was suspended in Nigeria and not banned.

Reacting to an inquiry from a member at the Nigerian International Partnership Forum in Paris, the pastor clarified that the postponement in lifting the suspension in Nigeria is because of the deferral in gathering 10 out of the 12 conditions given to it.

Mohammed revealed that the matter would before long be settled.

As per Mohammed: “I need to completely say that Twitter was not restricted in Nigeria, it was just suspended. Along these lines, Twitter was rarely restricted, it was suspended.

“Additionally, the suspension doesn’t have anything to do with President Muhammadu Buhari.

“The correspondence among us and Twitter has arrived at a high level stage. I need to say that the correspondences and the trades have been productive.

“Be that as it may, we have a couple of more issues to determine. Out of around 12 conditions, Twitter has had the option to meet 10.

“Very soon, all issues will be settled such that it will be useful for both our nation and Twitter.”
