Manchester United’s interim manager, Michael Carrick, has spoken about new roles in the team for Donny van de Beek.
Van de Beek struggled to play under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer before the Norwegian was sacked last Sunday.
His goal in Solskjaer’s last game in charge at Watford, was the first time he has scored since his United debut last year.
However, Carrick brought the Dutchman back into the starting XI against Villarreal in the Champions League.
He has now dropped a hint about Van de Beek’s new role which the former Ajax man could play in the coming weeks and months.
“We’ve got ideas where we think Donny’s most suited but he’s so flexible and adaptable, with two or three positions.
“He even played as a false nine for Ajax in the Champions League when they ended up getting beaten by Tottenham.
“We’ve got ideas for him but being flexible is a strength and a credit to what he can bring to the team,” Carrick said in a press conference ahead of the Chelsea game.Follow Us On Social Media 👇
World Cup: De Bruyne, Hazard Clash In Dressing Room After Shock Morocco Defeat
A number of Belgium players were involved in a dressing bust-up after their shock 2-0 defeat to Morocco at the 2022 World Cup.
According to RTL Sport, Kevin de Bruyne, Jan Vertonghen, and captain Eden Hazard clashed after the match.
Tensions were already high after De Bruyne told reporters before the game that the team was “probably too old” to win the trophy.
Those tensions now appear to have reached boiling point, as the three players let their tempers erupt following the loss.
It is understood that De Bruyne, Hazard and Vertonghen had to be separated by Chelsea striker, Romelu Lukaku.
The emotionally-charged changing room could prove disastrous ahead of their final group stage fixture against Croatia.

World Cup: Benzema To Return To France Squad
Karim Benzema could make a surprising return to the France squad at the 2022 World Cup.
The 34-year-old had initially been ruled out through injury.
Benzema was expected to miss the entire tournament with a thigh problem.
France head coach, Didier Deschamps, opted not to call up a replacement and has continued with Kylian Mbappe, Olivier Giroud, Ousmane Dembele, Antoine Griezmann, Kingsley Coman and Marcus Thuram.
However, RMC Sport claims that Benzema could still return to the France setup as he returns to full training this week at Real Madrid.
Benzema could be fit enough to take part in the knockout stages of the World Cup.
FIFA rules permit players to return to their squads if they recover from injury if they had initially been named in the tournament squad before being ruled out.Follow Us On Social Media 👇
