Ahmed Musa ‘Attacks’ Nigerian Politicians Whose Children School Abroad Amid Continued ASUU Strike

Published

on

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has lambasted Nigerian politicians for being insensitive towards education amid the continued strike of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

This is coming hours after pictures flooded the internet as Jordan Nyesom-Wike, son of the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike graduated from the University of Exeter, in the United Kingdom.

Those at Jordan’s graduation event captured in the photo include Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, Abia State governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, Wike’s wife, Justice Eberechi Nyesom-Wike and his daughter, Jasmine Nyesom-Wike.

Meanwhile, students in Nigeria have been at home since ASUU started its strike on February 14, 2022, while JAC commenced its own on April 14, 2022.

The unions embarked on industrial actions while demanding improved welfare packages, better working conditions, and the implementation of various labour agreements signed with the Federal Government between 2009 and 2020, Punch reports.

The development has forced Ahmed Musa to blast Nigerian politicians in his latest post, as he also blamed the youths for always singing their praises as well.

“To our politicians whose children school abroad, how do you feel visiting your children abroad taking pictures in their schools and posting online while ASUU is on strike?

“Like seriously, how is it okay to you. You’re running a system you don’t even believe in. Show me one Oyinbo child whose child is schooling in Nigeria.

“E no dey touch una? And when you return, Nigerian youths will still gather to sing praises for una.”

EPL: Perfect Signing – Arsenal Told To Recruit Ex-manchester United Star, Ronaldo

Published

on

Former Arsenal goalkeeper, David Seaman, has urged the Gunners to sign former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

Seaman believes it would be a perfect signing if Arsenal brought Ronaldo to Emirates Stadium.

Ronaldo is presently a free agent after his contract with Man United was terminated this week.

The Portugal captain’s contract was terminated days after his explosive interview with broadcaster Piers Morgan in which he slammed Man United, the Glazer family, Erik ten Hag, among others.

“Ronaldo is far from done and he would be perfect for Arsenal,” Seaman told TalkTV.

“I would applaud him [for the explosive interview] because he is obviously talking the truth. A lot of the stuff he came out with is not the stuff we have not heard.

“We have heard a lot of other experienced players moaning and criticising Man United for the way the ground is and the training.

“That shocked me and that should not be happening. He has been all around the world and seen how everywhere has progressed and he comes back to his beloved Man United and nothing has changed.”
